Guidelines for pitch presentations

The plenary keynote and standard oral presentations are aimed at providing context and highlighting key results and challenges. The pitches are aimed at briefly introducing additional aspects, including 1 final slide summarizing a couple of key results/challenges to be discussed. The breakout sessions that follow will synthesize “where we are, what are the challenges, and how to address them”. These can be in bullet points or short summaries and include proposals for figures. The final discussion should focus on summarizing the “way forward”. At the end of the workshop we will have defined the key parts of the paper, and in the weeks following smaller groups will write up a draft of the paper.

ALLOCATED TIMES:

  • Pitch presentations: 5 minutes MAXIMUM (including final slide summarizing key results/challenges targeting discussion session topic)
